Villa Nova Norrland Fabrics

Villa Nova Norrland Fabrics is a collection that captures the rawness of nature embracing the misty stillness of forest landscapes and a desire to connect with the outdoors.

The essence of ‘hygge’, the need for a sense of wellbeing, is instilled in this collection. Norrland encapsulates a relaxed approach to combining a myriad of textures punctuated with handcrafted inspired elements and timeless folk patterns, that translate into a casual warmth.

Collection Details

The Villa Nova Norrland Fabrics are available in 9 designs and each with various colourways:

Norrland – In this design a delicate, misty tree lined landscapes are digitally printed on a tactile smooth cotton. The original ink paintings have a fluidity that has been captured perfectly on cloth.

Elsa – Is a shimmering semi-sheer with a raised linear texture created from an intriguing mix of yarns with glimmering metallic highlights.

Sami – This fabric is an exceptionally soft wool mix with a natural, casual warmth, Sami is embroidered with a striking yet relaxed folk-inspired design.

Kemi – A stunning linen-mix weave incorporating a transparent yarn that gives this fabric an innovative, shimmering appearance. Exceptionally fluid and drapable, Kemi has the appearance of a plain linen, yet when it catches the light an iridescent, textural pattern becomes visible.

Marit – This design is a folk art inspired pattern with a modern twist. Hand painted by Villa Nova designers, the motif design, was created using irregular marks to capture a hand printed feel.

Dellen – Dellen is a devoré sheer with a pattern reminiscent of the intricate and irregular texture of tree bark.

Freyr – Offers a delightful linen mix sheer with a graduating geometric design created using a ‘clipped yarn’ technique. This is a wide-width room high product that should be hung from the selvedge as the design graduates from one selvedge to the other.

Mani – A beautifully soft, pure linen sheer printed with irregular geometric shapes interspersed with subtle metallic highlights.

Alder – Alder is a soft jacquard weave featuring a tree motif originally created using a lino cut technique, giving a hand crafted element to the design. The woven design incorporates the irregular markings and textural elements of the original hand printed motif.
